August will mark the beginning of the 2019 season for the Sheridan College Soccer Program. Both squads advanced to the NJCAA Region IX Tournament last year, the men falling in the title game to LCCC. This season will be promising if experience is a determining factor. The Lady Gens will return 12 sophomores and the Generals return seven. "I think the men return the best defense in the region without question," said Head Coach Mallery Hammer. "Keino Davids, Marques Scott, and Carlos Diaz are fast, they work really well together and they're all natural defenders."

Hammer has high expectations for the women's team. "We return a lot of experience," said Hammer. "We lost three starters last year at the very beginning of season and it was a pretty devastating blow. It is exciting to be able to return those players this year on top of an already solid 2018 class and a promising freshman group." Both squads open up on the road against Rocky Mountain College in Billings on August 14.
