Gens Advance to 2018 Region IX Semifinals

SHERIDAN, Wyoming (October 23, 2018)- The Sheridan College Women's Soccer team entered the 2018 region playoffs as the third seed from the north aligning them with Trinidad State, the second seed from the south. Sheridan hasn't lost a game to Trinidad in three years and history repeated itself when the Lady Gens racked up a 7-0 road win against the Trojans in Trinidad, CO.

Hannah Ozmon was first to find the net just 11 minutes into the first half. After entering the game at the 20 minute mark freshman Chezney Mamalis took over and scored twice before the half ended. The second half was a display of offensive power and domination with Jordan Quig scoring twice and Hannah Ozmon scoring twice granting Ozmon the hatrick. Sophomore Morgan Bury recorded her fifth shutout of the season.

The Lady Gens will travel to Denver for the Region IX Semifinal match on October 26th hosted by Metro State. The Gens will kickoff at 11:30 against the Laramie County Golden Eagles. The game will be livestreamed at https://boxcast.tv/channel/gkf41locuen3s97e6dou.
