The 10th ranked Sheridan College Generals put on a defensive show in the first half Wednesday night against their rival Gillette College, holding the Pronghorns to 27 1st half points. The Generals didn't allow any 2nd chance points in the first half, and only allowed 2 transition points to the visitors. Sheridan College was able to take a 52-27 lead into halftime, and watched that lead balloon to 31 points with 10:38 left to play in the contest.
Along with their tough defensive prowess, the Generals displayed their unselfish play on the offensive end, finishing the game with 22 team assists. All 13 Generals made an appearance in the game, with 12 of them ending up in the scoring column. Sean Sutherlin lead the way for SC, going a perfect 8-8 from the field and finishing with 18 points. AJ Bramah gave a great all-around performance in front of the home crowd, scoring 16 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and dishing out 3 assists. The floor general for SC, Joshua Bagley, went 3-5 from deep to finish with 13 points while also dishing out a team-high 6 assists. Camron Reece was able to record his 3rd consecutive double-double for Sheridan, finishing with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sheridan walked away with a 104-78 victory, pushing their overall record to 19-1 and 5-0 in Region IX North play.
The Generals travel to Central Wyoming College on Saturday to take on the Rustlers at 4pm.
