#15 Generals Top CWC in Conference Opener 112-83

The #15 ranked Sheridan College Generals opened up conference play with a blowout win over Central Wyoming College on Wednesday night at the Bruce Hoffman Golden Dome.  Coming off an extended Christmas Break, the Generals didn't show any sign of rusty play as they opened the game with a 18-0 run.  Led by the interior play of Camron Reece and the sharpshooting of Ladan Ricketts, Sheridan College took a 54-38 advantage into the locker room at halftime.  The hot play from the Generals didn't stop there as they built their largest lead of the game to 32 points with 14:01 remaining in the second half.

Leading the way for the Generals was sophomore Channel Banks.  Banks continued his productive play finishing with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.  Fellow sophomore Ladan Ricketts prvoed why he's one of the best shooters in the country, finishing 6-9 from three point range and 20 points.  Although Camron Reece only played 18 minutes due to early foul trouble, the freshman from Oakland, California went a perfect 9-9 from the field and finished with 19 points.  The Generals also got a lot of help from their point gaurds, as Keenan Dowell and Joshua Bagley combined for 24 points (6-9 from 3), and 9 assists.  Last but not least, AJ Bramah continued to do what he does by recording his eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and 14 rebounds.

The 15-1 Generals head to Rock Springs this weekend to take on Western Wyoming Community College on Saturday afternoon at 5 PM.  Their next home game will be Wednesday, January 17th against Miles Community College at 7:30 PM.
