The Sheridan College Generals traveled to Cheyenne, WY on November 3rd & 4th to take part in the LCCC Tip-off Classic. In their first game of the classic, the Generals opened the season with a 102-73 victory over Eastern Wyoming College. Sophomore, Ladan Ricketts started the season where he left off last year, making seven three-pointers in the game on his way to finishing with 26 points. Freshman, AJ Bramah also had a huge game for the Generals, scoring 25 points and hauling in 14 rebounds. Camron Reece, a freshman from Oakland, California, helped out with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
In the second game of the classic, the Generals faced off against the host team, Laramie County Community College. The Generals got off to a great start, leading by 18 points with under 5 minutes remaining in the first half. However, a barrage of 3-pointers in the 2nd half got the LCCC Golden Eagles back into the game, taking the lead late in the 2nd half. Sophomore, Channel Banks came up huge for the Generals down the stretch, going a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line. Banks finished with a team and career high 44 points. Camron Reece was a huge factor again for the Generals, posting his 2nd double-double in as many games with 18 points and 10 rebounds. AJ Bramah had a great all around game, scoring 9 points, grabbing 14 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists.
The Generals are back on the road this weekend as they travel to La Junta, CO to take on Otero Junior College Friday night, and the Trinidad State Trojans Saturday.
